Marketing Executive The Hawkins Motor Group Ltd - £16,000 to £20,000 per annum

The Hawkins Motor Group is looking to employ a Marketing Executive develop and co-ordinate all of its marketing activity in order to increase awareness of the brand, and ultimately grow its database and new business.
The Hawkins Motor Group is a family owned Cornish business, specialising in selling and servicing vehicles, vehicle finance and vehicle parts. The business has been in operation in Cornwall for eighty years and is a main dealer for Peugeot and Citroen and has exclusive rights to Hyundai and Kia. Its clients are business users and private individuals who have experienced premium service and unbeatable value for decades. Owned and managed by the Hawkins family, the business has years of automotive and sales experience and seen great progress in developing the brand via radio advertising, press, local PR and strong awareness through word of mouth. The company is now seeking to expand its marketing activities and develop a more co-ordinated and wide-reaching approach with the help of an in-house marketing professional who will focus on building on and developing digital, database and inbound marketing.
Objectives
Research and analyse the current customer base, media trends, competitors, products and services with an aim to identifying growth areas
Develop the existing marketing and advertising strategies (to include the outdoor, website, SEO, e-marketing, social media and public relations)
Work closely with the management team and external partners to innovate and develop opportunities.
Nature of Work
The successful graduate will work closely with all three directors in a diversely experienced and passionate team. The successful graduate will be responsible for developing and implementing an all-encompassing marketing plan, including the creation of publicity for special promotions. This will include current activities but will expand the scope of the existing marketing plan. In doing so, a full analysis of previous activity should be undertaken to investigate success rate and devise new plans to improve & monitor going forward. A comprehensive package of training and support is available for the right graduate. This position will be supported in the first six month by an external media agency.
Personal Skills
Essential Requirements
Foundation degree, HND or Degree in Marketing, PR or equivalent
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Proactive, able to work on own initiative
Analytical approach with accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to read, analyse and interpret numerical reports
Ability to recognise and maximise business opportunities
Ability to work within a team and be flexible
Graduates must not have previously been supported in a UCP Graduate Placement programme*
Desirable Requirements
Previous marketing and PR experience
Experience of google analytics, adwords or link building
Sales experience
Experience of the motor trade
A confident articulate clear communicator.
Graduates should ideally (but not necessarily) have graduated within the last 5 years and be unemployed or not fulfilling their graduate potential*

Duration
Initially 12 months in the first instance, although the job is considered permanent for the right candidate.
