A three day entrepreneurial “Boot Camp” run by Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP) is helping to guide 45 graduates as they launch their own businesses in Cornwall. Held at the new Tremough Innovation Centre in Penryn, on April 12th and April 13th,with final business pitches on Wednesday 18th, more than thirty business advisors and support partners were on hand to test out the graduates’ ideas and help them develop their plans. These included representatives from Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC), Oxford Innovation, Cornwall College, Tremough and Pool Innovation Centres, Cornwall Development Company and Catalyst NLP.
Some of Cornwall’s most talented graduates working in local businesses have been recognised at a prestigious awards ceremony in St Austell. More than 150 people from the Cornish business community including the Chief Executive of Cornwall Council, Kevin Lavery and Director of the Convergence Partnership Office, Carleen Kelemen gathered at The Keay Theatre on February 17th to celebrate the success of the Unlocking Cornish Potential graduates.
The Third UCP Graduate Business Start Up Open Day. Held at Pool Innovation Centre, UCP hosted 25 Cornish entrepreneurs as they begin their enterprise journey.
