Jodie Hyatt

Jodie studied English at Oxford University and after time spent abroad teaching, went on to gain a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism. She has worked as a newsreader for stations such as BBC Radio Stoke, XFM and Pirate FM.

After meeting her Cornish husband at university, she didn’t need much persuasion to make the permanent move to the County four years ago. Using her background in journalism Jodie worked in PR for tourism and environmental businesses before joining UCP in March 2011.

She works closely with Becks on all our marketing and PR activity as well as co-ordinating the fantastic Celebration Events and is working toward a CIPR Advanced level qualification.

Jodie has recently become something of a pet enthusiast, acquiring two chickens, Betty and Olive and a hamster named Herbie. She loves being active and plays netball for Newquay. She recently ran a half marathon in 1:49 and is training to complete a full marathon next year.
