Total Laminate Systems

Total Laminate Systems produce runs of cut and edged decorative panels for the furniture, boat building, shop fitting and construction industries.

In 2009, Total Laminate Systems partnered with CCB to put 32 members of their production staff through Performing Manufacturing Operations NVQ2. When considering training for their staff they were apprehensive about the amount of manufacturing time that may be lost. The Assessors were quick to fit into the workforce. They set out an assessment schedule from start to finish of the course resulting in a very well managed programme, with minimal disruption to the employees’ working day and productivity during this time. All candidates completed the programme successfully!

Kenny Woodhead, Production Manager at Total Laminate Systems said: “The training has given the employees a heightened awareness of how their job impacts their colleagues and the company as a whole. They have also learned how to use tools more effectively and are more conscious of working to Health and Safety guidelines. Training participants are more motivated and feel secure knowing that the company have invested in them for the future.”
