Teddington Group is a leading manufacturer with expertise in electronics, appliance control and bathrooms based in St Austell. With the rapid expansion management was concerned about morale, wastage and some procedures. Working alongside CCB, a training plan was devised. Teddingtons have trained 60 staff in NVQ2 Performing Manufacturing Operations and Customer Service NVQ2.

Graham Tonkin, Managing Director said: “The training improved the overall quality of the business. It’s improved our productivity, efficiency and our capabilities. We now have a better, happier workforce.

“We had fantastic support from CCB. All the training was done on site and in work time, which allowed us to keep productivity up. It was adapted so much to suit our business requirements that it was like an NVQ two-and-a-half! They added extra workshops for things like electronics training and component identification.”

Post training, Teddington Group was delighted to win the prestigious Train to Gain Medium Business of the Year Award at the South West Skills Awards after being nominated by CCB.
