Kingfisher Boats Limited is a manufacturer of traditionally designed boats, incorporating innovative features. Kingfisher Boats has a network of agents in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Scotland and the Faroe Islands. Kingfisher knows the secret of a good GRP hulls lies in the design of the mould and the skill of the craftsmen. Therefore Danielle wanted to develop her CAD drawing skills and undertook the Marine CAD degree level short course.

Danielle Coote, Administrator and Purchaser for Kingfisher said: “The Marine CAD course was very useful to me and Kingfisher. Having the system already installed we needed to get the basic understanding so we were able to use it effectively. Now I can extract all the information needed for the use of manufacturing boats for the shipwrights.”

On the course Danielle developed her knowledge and application of CAD techniques and is now able to extract and communicate design information from CAD drawings. During the course Danielle also developed new skills for using specific software packages including RhinoCAD, 2D packages and AutoCAD LT.
