Falmouth Beach Resort Hotel

The Falmouth Beach Resort Hotel is perfectly located on the seafront at Falmouth. It has 120 rooms, a newly renovated state of the art indoor pool, gym, sauna and spa facilities. Elinor Barbary, Marketing Manager wanted to improve the hotel’s performance and reduce its carbon footprint.

Elinor undertook the Environmental Management at Work course to develop and implement new techniques to help save energy and save the business money.
The course helps delegates to develop environmental management systems to monitor and reduce their energy, water, waste and transport consumption. The course also provides information for businesses working towards ISO 14001.

Elinor said: “Applying these techniques has not only saved us money, but they have given us a competitive edge; we can now market our hotel as a sustainable tourism business.”
