Established in1995, Cornish Cottages specialises in the self-catering holiday letting industry across all parts of the county. The family owned and run business are proud of their heritage and now their small team of 3 has now grown to 6. Near to Penzance, their office doors are open all day, 6 days a week to encourage visits from members of the public, guests and property owners alike.

Sharon joined the company 18 months ago and together Cornish Cottages and she created a two year learning development program to advance her skills and knowledge within the Marketing industry. Since then, Sharon has taken part in a number of training courses including her CIM professional diploma in Marketing with Cornwall College Business.

In return, Cornish Cottages noticed an immediate change to the company’s marketing strategy; various marketing skills gained through training including social media were applied. This boosted Cornish Cottages online presence enabling them to compete professionally with their competitors in the self-catering holiday letting industry. Since 2010, their website traffic has increased by 97%. In addition to this, during the past 18 months Sharon has attended more events and in 2011 Cornish Cottages doubled the amount of properties taken onto their portfolio.
