Who is this course for?
SMART Enterprise is an exciting new short programme offering 7 sessions in basic business and management skills training. If you live and work in Cornwall for a minimum of 8 hours a week or are registered as self-employed;Â you are eligible to join this programme.
This course is for anyone who is looking at starting their own business or considering becoming self-employed. You will develop basic business skills and knowledge, and build the confidence to become self employed.
“SMART Enterprise – Business Beginnings” caters for all ages and academic abilities, with most delegates having no formal business training. The workshops are relevant and very practical with no assessments or examinations taking place; and are taught by highly experienced business professionals and tutors.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you need to be working a minimum of 8 hours a week or be self-employed.
Entry criteria can be discussed on an individual basis with the project manager.

The “SMART Enterprise – Business Beginnings” offers a Business Mentoring service at the end of the program, which includes 4 free one-to-one sessions with a Business Mentor provided and funded by Business Mentors South West.

This programme is funded for any delegate living in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly; who works for at least 8 hours a week or is registered as self-employed. There is a ÂŁ50 administration fee to pay.
