Health and Safety in the Workplace CIEH Award Level 2

Summary

This course is for staff at any level (in any sector) who require an introduction to health and safety training to ensure they are aware of their own safety, safety of customers, contractors and the public.

Employers are responsible for providing safe and healthy workplace conditions as well as the right systems and methods for safe activities. Nevertheless employees also have a vital part to play in the equation. They need the right knowledge and the right attitude which demands proper training in the basics of health and safety, as well as specific training for individual tasks.

It is recommended by CIEH that a half-day refresher is taken every 3 years, assessed by 15 multiple choice question paper.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a basic ability in written work and be enthusiastic.
