Who is this course for?
This course is for supervisors and first line managers with operational and decision making responsibilities who have an environmental focus in their workplace.
Entry requirements
To enrol in this course prior training such as Environmental Awareness in the Workplace certificate would be beneficial, along with some experience in environmental practices.
Course overview
The course reviews the industry standard environmental management systems e.g. ISO 14001. This includes;
- Environmental legislation and policies
- Environmental aspects and impacts
- Resource and waste management
- Pollution control procedures
- Setting environment policy and objectives
- Environmental management programmes and techniques
- Environmental auditing and reporting
At the end of the course there is an examiniation as means of assessment for the course.
