Who is this course for?

This is an ideal course for those with little or no experience with Excel.  It is for those who would like to learn about the leading spreadsheet package from Microsoft which can be used for a wide range of business applications from simple calculations and charting through ordering, invoicing and cash flow.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, but users should have basic computer skills and have some knowledge of basic arithmetic and mathematical formulae.

Course overview

Candidates will learn the basics of the Excel Ribbon and Interface. You will learn how to create, save and open workbooks, how to organise workbooks and the building and use of simple formulae. The course also shows you how to enter data quickly and efficiently, with formulae building and other basic essential tools.

All ICT courses are professionally led by qualified tutors and limited to a maximum of eight delegates to ensure individual attention and useful hands on practice. This allows the exact content and nature of the course to be adjusted to suit the needs of the participants.  Your learning experience is our priority.

There is the opportunity to progress onto the Excel Intermediate course to learn more of the different features of Excel.

There is also a wide range of opportunities available for you to gain certification in Microsoft qualifications: MCP; MCSA; MCSE ; and the full Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS).

There are also Cisco CCNA and CCNP qualifications available.
