Who is this course for?
This course is a pre-requisite for solar and heat pump renewable technologies. It is aimed at experienced plumbers and electricians wishing to install solar thermal hot water or photovoltaic solar panels and heat pumps.
The course will enable candidates wishing to become an approved installer under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.

There are no entry/pre-requisite requirements for this course.
Course overview
This is a one day course and the content includes CoSHH, Manual Handling and Working at Heights. It is for engineers who intend to install solar thermal hot water, photo voltaic and heat pumps. The programme is 90% theoretical with 10% practical assessment.
What's next?
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will receive a NICEIC certificate of competence in Health safety subjects (CoSHH, Manual Handling and Working at Heights).
Holders of the qualification and pre-requisites to the course can apply to become accredited installers under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.
