Who is this course for?
This qualification is aimed at those who want to develop practical training skills and is the minimum requirement for anyone wishing to register to deliver CIEH qualifications in food safety, health and safety and environmental protection; and is a pre-requiste for many public funded courses.
It is also ideal for first-time trainers who need to understand the basics of training skills and practice or those looking to refine their techniques for workplace training.
The Training Skills and Practice CIEH Award Level 3 is aimed at those who want to develop practical training skills and/or meet the minimum training requirement for registering to deliver CIEH vocationallyrelated qualifications without public funding.
Completing this award will equip you with the basic knowledge and skills required to develop and deliver training programmes, provide learning support and take responsibility in managing the learning process.

Course overview
The CIEH TSP covers initial assessment, planning and preparation, training delivery, assessment and evaluation. It is part of the CIEH Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector. It encourages a flexible approach to training delivery that takes account of learners’ needs and preferences.
