Inspiring Leadership and Management Conference
Cornwall College Business (CCB) hosted its annual Leadership and Management Conference last week at The Business Space in Truro.
The conference, which included free workshops on ‘Coaching in the workplace', ‘using performance management to motivate your team' and ‘leading change to improve business performance' was attended by over 45 business people from across the South West.
Speakers included David Renwick, CEO from Ocean Housing, double winner at this year's Excellence in Business Training Awards. David highlighted the importance and benefits that training has had on Oceans growth over the last 12 years and their commitment to apprenticeships shaping new managers of the future.
Words including ‘inspiring' echoed around the room during the networking lunch. "A really nice, useful bite-sized workshops." commented David McGuire, The John Knowles Company.
The workshops offered a taste of various business skills or professional qualifications that Cornwall College Business deliver across the South West.

"We were delighted with the turnout," said CEO and Principal of Cornwall College Group, Dave Linnell. This enables them to enrol on a course which meets their needs and also meet CCB staff who can give advice on training options and funding."
