Summary

“This Apprenticeship deals with the repair and maintenance of all types of vehicles, from mopeds to lorries. There are more than 32 million vehicles on UK’s roads, which means we need plenty of motor vehicle technicians to keep them roadworthy.” – National Apprenticeship Service

The Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Apprenticeship is for people who want to become a qualified vehicle technician or auto electrician in light vehicles, motorcycles or heavy vehicles.

Over 80% of our motor vehicle apprentices are offered permanent positions by their employers once they have completed their apprenticeship.

Upon successful completion, you are semi skilled and qualified to work as a trainee technician in vehicle maintenance and repair. Thereafter you can start working towards the nationally recognised Level 3 Diploma by enrolling in the advanced apprenticeship.

In the future, you could work as a vehicle technician, auto electrician, MOT Tester, start your own business or teach vehicle maintenance and repair.
