The Roofing Occupations Apprenticeship is for people who want to become a qualified Roofer, while laying the foundation for a successful career in the construction industry.
If you are interested in roofing, have a good head for heights and are able to follow technical drawings and building plans; this is a great course to kick start your career.
Over 90% of our construction apprentices are offered permanent positions by their employers once they have completed their apprenticeship.
An apprenticeship is a great way to gain a qualification and earn real money. At the end of the course, you will have a nationally recognised qualification and no debts to pay!
Upon successful completion, you are qualified as a junior roofer and can start working towards the Level 3 Diploma by enrolling in the advanced apprenticeship.
Once you are a qualified roofer, you may progress to the level of a supervisor or foreman.
In the future, you may be interested in studying further and complete a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations or Site Supervisory.

This apprenticeship is designed for people who want to train on the job and gain a nationally recognised qualification in roofing.
You must enjoy working in the construction industry, have a good head for heights and be able to follow technical drawings and building plans.
To enrol in this apprenticeship, you need to be aged 16 and over, ideally have a minimum of 2 GCSEs at Grade C and be employed in a suitable roofing position. Â

You will attend lectures at the St Austell campus 1 day per week for 2 years, while the remainder of the week is spent in the workplace.

You will put together a portfolio of evidence to show that you are competent at the tasks you do every day, while receiving support from experienced Cornwall College tutors.
