“I began working at St Mellion Golf Club in the Pro-shop, because I’m a really keen golfer and wanted to work in the industry. I realised that to progress my career within golf I needed to change direction. I started working for the green keeping team and then accepted the chance to ‘earn while you learn’ as an Amenity Horticulture Apprentice. In the future I would like to continue in work-based learning to complete the Advanced Apprenticeship so that I can become a Course Manager or work abroad.”
