Get a taste for a career by working in the industry while going to school. You can divide your time between the two and get some real work experience. Typically you would go to school for three days, do work experience for one day during term time and one day in college where you will learn your trade skills and knowledge.
You’d be joining 3,500 other students around the country who are a part of the Young Apprenticeship programme. There are a wide variety of opportunities in areas like Construction, Engineering, Hairdressing, Retail, Hospitality and Business Administration.
During your two year programme you will work toward completing the vocational qualifications that form part of your young apprenticeship. You will develop important skills in a real work setting and get a taste of what it would be like to be a full-time apprentice in future.

You will have many options after completing this programme. You can go on to a full-time apprenticeship or you could follow other learning routes and continue with full-time studies at Cornwall College.
